Tom Brady Announces He’ll Cover Madden ’18, Mocks Curses Like a Legend

Tom Brady Fears Nothing

GOAT. GOAT. GOAT. Five-time Super Bowl champ and living legend Tom Brady announced he will be on the cover of Madden ’18: G.O.A.T. edition. Worried about the Madden curse? Brady isn’t. So much so in fact that he didn’t just put the information out there. He combined with EA Sports and made a video where he straight up mocks curses while smashing a mirror (7 years bad luck) and walking under a ladder.

I’m pretty sure all of New England collectively passed out after watching that video.

The new Madden will come in the standard version and a special G.O.A.T. edition. The special edition comes with early access:

From CBS Sports:

According to EA Sports, “G.O.A.T. Edition owners get three-day early access, letting them start their season Aug. 22, while EA Access members can play for up to 10 hours starting Aug. 17 with the EA Access Play First Trial.” The full version of “Madden” will be available Aug. 25. In the meantime, Patriots fans can commence freaking out.

I personally think the Madden curse is ridiculous. Not every player who has graced the cover has been hurt. And last year’s cover athlete, Rob Gronkowski, had missed about two year’s worth of games from injuries long before he was on the front of the football video game.

But as a Pats fan, I am nervous as fuck.
