Narcos Season 3 is so Close
The Netflix series Narcos is a great show about the Columbian drug wars in the 1980s. The first season was based largely on true events during the reign of Pablo Escobar. Season 2 took more liberties with fiction in order to stretch the story over 10 additional episodes. Narcos season 3 will likely predominately fiction, but extremely entertaining nonetheless.
The upcoming season follows the Cali Cartel’s rise to power after the death of Pablo Escobar. The newly-released footage sees Pedro Pascal return as DEA agent Javier Peña, but no sign of Boyd Holbrook who played the show’s lead Steve Murphy over the course of the first two seasons. While that’s a bummer, Peña is the man. So I have no complaints with him as the series new protagonist.
Narcos returns September 1, 2017.
