Some Days Don’t Go as Planned
We’ve all been there, right? We put on our finest t-shirt, leather vest, and jeans combination. Next, head out the door and walk down to our favorite pub. Then a double decker bus plows us over and almost kills us. No? That hasn’t happened to you? Ya, me neither.
But this scenario DID happen to Simon Smith. And he just casually brushed it off like no big deal, and walked into the bar like it never happened.
Smith was actually walking to the bank when the runaway bus launched him approximately 45 feet in the air. He told The Sun:
“I came down the street, it was early morning, I’d gone to pay in a wage cheque at my bank. I make that journey every Saturday. I didn’t think anything of it. But then I heard some banging behind me and I was hit from behind. Then you can see what happened from the [security footage]. The video says it all.”
He added: “I didn’t tense because I didn’t know it was coming. After it I just wanted to get somewhere safe. It’s quite funny everybody think I have gone for a pint. I was actually looking for a place of refuge when I went into the doorway of the pub.”
Someone please find Simon and tell him he has my respect forever. I also suspect he may be an X-Men who doesn’t want to reveal himself yet. Or the real-life version of Bruce Willis’ character in Unbreakable.
